Advisory services
What working with Adria Atlantic looks like.
A clear view of how engagements begin, how they are structured, and how we handle confidentiality and fees.
From first conversation to engagement
- 1
Introductory conversation
A short call to understand your objectives, timeline, and constraints, and to tell you plainly whether we are the right fit.
- 2
Scoping
If there is a fit, we define the question, the counterparts involved, the deliverables, and what success looks like.
- 3
Written proposal
You receive a written proposal setting out scope, team, timeline, fees, and confidentiality terms.
- 4
Engagement agreement
Work begins under a signed agreement, with regular reporting against the objectives agreed at the start.
How fees are structured
Fees depend on the service and are always agreed in writing before work begins. Strategic advisory is typically provided on a monthly retainer. Market entry work is usually scoped as a defined project with a fixed fee for each phase. Business missions are generally priced per participating organization, reflecting the preparation and meeting program involved.
Some deal support engagements include a success-based component tied to a signed agreement. Where that applies, it is disclosed in writing to our client, and we do not accept undisclosed payments from any other party to a transaction.
An illustrative scenario
The following is a hypothetical example to show how an engagement might unfold. It does not describe an actual client.
An automotive components supplier based in Ohio wants to evaluate Serbia as a source for wire harness assemblies serving its European customers.
In the first month, we assess Serbian capacity in the relevant product categories, the implications of rules of origin for its European sales, and the current U.S. and European duty treatment for any flows to each market. In the second month, we identify and screen a shortlist of Serbian manufacturers, verify ownership and sanctions exposure, and arrange introductory calls. In the third month, the supplier's team visits Belgrade and Kragujevac for prepared meetings and facility visits, and we support the evaluation of proposals and the negotiation of initial terms.
Frequently asked questions
Do you represent one side of a transaction or both?
In each engagement we act for a defined client, identified in our agreement. When we facilitate introductions between organizations, we are transparent with both parties about whom we represent and how we are compensated.
Who pays for a business mission?
Participating organizations generally pay a participation fee that covers preparation and the meeting program. Where an institution sponsors or co-organizes a mission, the arrangement is set out in writing and disclosed to participants.
How do you handle confidentiality?
All engagements are covered by written confidentiality terms. Introductions are recorded and protected by non-circumvention provisions so that each party knows how its information will be used.
Do you provide legal or tax advice?
No. We coordinate with qualified legal, tax, and customs professionals in each market and help clients work with them effectively, but we do not provide legal, tax, or investment advice ourselves.
What if a partnership does not materialize?
Some opportunities should not proceed. Part of our role is to identify when a counterpart or market is not the right fit and to say so early, so that time is not spent on a process unlikely to produce results.
Do you work with companies outside the seven priority sectors?
Yes, where we can add real value. Our seven priority sectors reflect where the corridor is most active, but we assess each request on its merits.
How quickly can an engagement begin?
Most engagements can begin shortly after the introductory conversation and scoping are complete and the agreement is signed. For missions tied to EXPO 2027, we recommend starting preparation in 2026.
